According to a new report from Takumi, an influencer marketing agency, approximately 73% of marketers have directed more money towards influencer marketing this year. Most of these marketers are in the retail and manufacturing industries.
More and more organizations and companies are turning to influencers, as they have an easy time reaching a younger generation than other mediums. In fact, according to the research company Nielsen, 33% of people are spending more time on social media during the COVID-19 crisis than before stay-at-home orders were issued. Additional research shows that:
  • Instagram stories usage is up 15% since the COVID-19 outbreak.

  • TikTok usage is up significantly. The average user spends 52 minutes a day on the platform and video downloads are up 18%.
